Compare brick-style images, flat mosaics and 3D brick designs with instructions before choosing a creative tool.
A brick-style image is a picture.
An image can suggest the look of bricks without defining individual pieces, connections or a sequence of building steps. It is useful as visual inspiration, but it is not itself a brick model.
A mosaic maps an image to a surface.
A flat mosaic represents a photograph using a grid of colors. That is a different goal from recovering the shape of a three-dimensional object.
A 3D brick design has a digital layout.
Lingo Lego converts a generated three-dimensional source into a brick design and derives the preview, PDF and parts list from that design. It does not supply an editable source 3D download.
Choose by the deliverable and its limits.
For a picture, an image tool may be enough. For a flat portrait, look for a mosaic workflow. For a digital object design with steps, review a 3D brick preview and its actual instructions. No digital output alone proves successful physical assembly.
